Held annually the last Saturday of July since 2010, Dancing in the park started as an event to help memoralize Alecia Cheyenne and Brandie Lynette Tyler and keep their memory alive through the arts for which they both loved. Dancing in the Park also promotes the beauty of dance as an art and healthy living through physical activity. Dance teams and individuals from across the state are invited to participate each year to provide entertainment and inspiration to the community. Dancing in the Park also joins dancers across the country in celebrating National Dance Day since 2009. Dancing in the Park is a free event and open to all ages of the public.
